ALZHEIMER'S POEM

Alzheimer’s

Everything about them has changed.

Nothing can keep them engaged.

They are no more the same,

now they even forgot your name.

They live in the past now,

Even they don’t know how.

All you can do is hold their hand,

When they cannot understand.

Talking to them slowly without hurry,

Will take away their worry.

Sometimes there is no sound,

When no one is around.

Mostly there is fear,

When no one is near.

Before they had a lot of hope,

Now that they cannot cope.

They still won’t stop loving you,

Even if they cannot tell you

If they are sad and lost,

Be with them at any cost.
