DEMENTIA POEM

      

 DEMENTIA 

Sometimes we think they are having their way,

Coz their close ones names, they are unable to say

it’s not just the inability to speak,

but it’s a lot more they freak.

Their struggle is rare which they can’t exactly express clear,

As they have lost their ability to communicate with another.

Unable to complete their routine tasks,

Makes them a lot more depressed.

They wish to complete their tasks,

but all so helpless.

It not just took away their independence,

But also got them lonely and lot more nervous.

All they need is help and care.

Help from brushing their teeth to getting dressed up well,

Even their food needs to be cooked well.

Life feels so incomplete to their closed ones,

As one of the jigsaw feels lost.

The person who always supported them all their life,

Will no longer be able to do so ever in life .

All their family can do is to treasure their memories,
