DEPRESSION POEM

Depression

It leaves a person with no hope,

Which makes life too hard to cope.

Sometimes even hiding the pain,

Pouring tears in the rain.

Even for the dictionary, it becomes difficult to define,

As it doesn’t have the exact words to assign.

Understanding them becomes hard,

Because it’s not in your yard.

Not everyone gets depressed for the same reasons,

Yet the treatment doesn’t change over seasons.

Everyone feels low sometimes, but it’s not bad,

It is so much more than being alone and sad,

Sometimes just staring at the sky,

Without even knowing why.

Things previously enjoyed don’t interest them anymore,

Now they no more fall asleep unlike before.

Explaining feelings to others is not easy anymore.

Now they find it difficult, to do the things unlike before.

The thing they need to overcome fear,

Is love and care from someone dear..

Sometimes going for a walk,

Or even engaging in a talk..

The positive words which you utter

May help them deal with it better.
