Narcissism doesn’t mean loving oneself,

But in love with Idealized self-image of themselves.

This helps them avoid deep feelings of insecurity,

Others around think it’s their immaturity.

 

Having inflated sense of self importance,

They believe they deserve admiration in abundance.

Mostly preoccupied with fantasies,

Overrating achievements without knowing their capabilities.

 

Troubled with the slightest criticism,

All they want is enthusiasm.

They were not like this long ago,

Now they need constant food for their ego.

 

Often describing them as selfish and self-centered,

Acceptance will help those who are surrounded.

They view disagreements as personal attacks,

While others think they are out of track.

 

Mostly feeling depressed and moody,

Adapting to change may make them droopy.

Having feelings of insecurity and shame.

Tendency to put on others the blame

 

Seeking help from a therapist,

Will help them benefit.
